How long do commissions take?Commission timelines depend on the type of project, but for corsets I take 2-3 weeks, and usually complete it ahead of time. For clothing, please allow 1 month minimum. For Wedding gowns- please allow 4 month minimum. There is no guarantee that I will be able to take your commission until you message me so please reach out as soon as you know that you have a project for me.

Do I design the commission or do you?You can either come to me with a design and ask me to execute it, or you can come to me with an idea and reference images/colors and I will create a designs to be selected by you. While I am able to give suggestions and insight to the design, I ask that you have a general idea of what you would like to receive. For commissions I will generally have a final sketch for approval before I begin work. For re-makes of pieces I have posted or already designed I will not provide an additional sketch, unless there are any significant changes to the design.

Can I schedule a fitting for commissions?Absolutely, I am based in Upper Manhattan so if you are able to come there we can schedule a fitting.

Where are your fabrics from?I use a wide variety of fabrics. While I'm always able to purchase a specific fabric for commissions, I also have a plethora of fabrics in my stash. A large portion of my fabrics are second-hand or vintage. In 2022 I was lucky to meet a woman who was liquidating an upholstery warehouse in Long Island City which had been operating since the 40s, and was gifted a massive amount of beautiful high quality fabrics, which I still use today! I also source fabrics from thrift stores and yard sales. The rest of my stash is composed of the leftovers from previous projects.
